In class we did our presentation on homophones and homonyms. We used this subject because we found it interesting that words can look and/or sound so alike, but differ in meaning. The pictures featured on our website were also used in our lesson and originate from an American children’s book that teaches children the definition of homophones and homonyms.

We also thought it important to focus on having fun with words and language. When you are studying/learning a language it can sometimes seem that there is no fun to be had while learning it. We wanted to show that language in and of itself can be fun and used to make people laugh.

We believe that if you incorporate fun in learning you will have learned more in the end!

In the PDF file you can find one of the books we used for our topic.

This book deals with homonyms and homophones in a fun childlike way that can be used to educate children.
